Bolt Action has really capture the attention of my painting muse. Having decided that I would aim at the 9th SS Panzerdivision’s defense of Arnhem. I decided their camo smocks would be a mix of spring and autumn camouflage, with a bias towards autumn.
This wasn’t based on any historical research, purely an aesthetic decision related to what I wanted to paint. Here’s the first test model.
This was enough of a work in progress to give me some comfort with “the plan”. Time to test it on a unit scale. On to the mortar team!
All these guys are still work in progress, there’s lots more work to be done on the base.
